YES Music Ltd 9 Hillgate Street, London W8. [phone # omitted] May I980 Dear Lee, The month of May I980 has seen a most stunning and unexpected move in regard to the members of 'YES', which we are all very excited about. Chris Squire, Steve Howe and Alan White have now been joined by multi-keyboardist Geoff Downes and vocalist Trevor Horn, to become the new I980's YES. I have been down to the studio and what I have heard so far is really sensational, it sounds like YES as they used to be but with a total revitalisation by Trevor and Geoff. If any of you get a chance take a listen to the Buggles album 'The Age Of Plastic', (which was Geoff and Trevor's band before they joined YES), and hopefully like me, you will be able to hear something of the strong combination, musically, that YES are now making with Geoff and Trevor. They are really working as a strong and unified group, heading into the 80's with a very positive sound. The tour schedule is still going ahead as planned, starting in the States at the beginning of September, Europe about October and then in England at the end of the year. I am enclosing a photograph of the new band and as soon as I have the new biography I will send one on to you. We are still closely connected with Jon and Rick, and in fact Rick has formed his own band called 'The Rick Wakeman Band', and they are off on tour of Europe starting 22nd June, in Oslo. He will be touring England in September, and hopes to go to the States after that. Jon will be persuing his solo career, but he has not given me any details yet. I do hope that you feel as excited as we do. I will look forward to hearing from you in the near future, hopefully with some of your comments and opinions about the new I980 YES. Yours sincerely, Fiona
